Do any of you other girls remember being out before Bree learned she had DID?
Anonymous

Yes, we just knew it was too soon and never gave our names

Was it difficult when you first found out you had D.I.D.?

actually no, it was a huge relief to me to find out there was a name for what I had :) I had other theories, but it was nice knowing what it was :)

Every time I tell someone “I have a horrible memory.” they think I’m just exaggerating like everyone else, and I always have to elaborate and go, “No, seriously.. I take medication for it.”

I was inspired to make this after my roommate started whining about how she couldn’t get by on only a little sleep and couldn’t pull all nighters any more. I’ve never been able to do either.

Why is it hard for healthy people to listen to sick people? Advil won’t make the pain go away. Water won’t make the pain go away. Fighting through it has never made the pain go away.

Some people aren’t nearly as supportive of chronic illnesses as they think they are. I’m tired of hearing about that person everyone totally knows is just saying they have an illness after looking it up on the internet.

That awkward moment when someone yells at you for “faking” and your the only on who has doctors papers to show youve actually been diagnosed.

I used to dread waking up because of my mental health (depression, PTSD), now I dread waking up because of neck pain. The pain has been going on for three months with twice weekly physiotherapy visits (plus pain meds). after talking with both my GP and the physiotherapist, they think it’s going to be long term. my physiotherapist is going to be my new best friend… >.<

vice versa for me, but same thing lol
